Damian Marley Transforms California Prison Into A Weed Farm

Reggae Recording artiste Damian Marley is moving in on the growing international marijuana market.
According to Billboard Magazine, Jr. Gong recently made the announcement that he has partnered with Ocean Grown Extracts to turn a former California State prison into a cannabis grow space that will cultivate medical marijuana for state dispensaries.
Marley and his partners reportedly purchased the Claremont Custody Center in Coalinga for a whopping $4,100,000USD, relieving the town of their $3,300,000USD debt, they’re also set to create over one hundred jobs for residents.
The “Affairs of the heart” says converting a prison into a poetic justice weed farm is poetic justice, “Many people sacrificed so much for the herb over the years who got locked up,” he told Billboard, adding that, “If this [venture] helps people and it’s used for medicinal purposes and inspires people, it’s a success.
