Flippa flips! Hits corrections officer

Will Flippa Moggela get an extension on his 25 year prison sentence?

As is, checks made by Music News to the Northern State prison shows that the dancehall deejay is currently serving his 25 years.

9 days ago Flippa landed in hot water when he slapped with another charge after assaulting a corrections officer.

But what made Flippa flip?

It is alleged that Flippa Moggela punched corrections officer Victor Tapia in the face and head. Reports are that Tapia was in the medium-security section of the prison around 8 p.m. on July 26 when Flippa allegedly began punching him.

It is still unclear as to what lead Flippa Moggela to attack the corrections officer.

The dancehall deejay will be hauled before the court on February 21 where the matter is set for mention.

Born Andrew Davis, the 38 year old dancehall deejay is serving a 25-year sentence in the Nothern State Prison for charges of cocaine distribution, money laundering and conspiracy.

Flippa Moggela is said to have conspired to ship multiple kilograms of cocaine from California to New Jersey, using the United States Postal Service and other delivery services to traffic the drugs.

The entertainer was convicted in 2015 and sentenced to 25 years in prison on June 3, 2016. In addition to the sentence, he was ordered to pay $250,000.00US for an anti-money laundering profiteering penalty.
