Tyga In Jamaica recording his new Video
American rapper Tyga and his team took over La Benz Corner in Duhaney Park Saturday, where he filmed the video for his new single, On And On.

Residents from the community came out to support the shoot, which involved local video production teams.
The video was co-directed by Shomi and Jamaican Robin Chin. Scenes were also filmed in Portland and the Brook Valley neighbourhood of Duhaney Park.

The 26-year-old Tyga is a tabloid darling in the United States. His on-again, off-again romance with Kylie Jenner of the Kardashians fame, repeatedly makes headlines.

Tyga was born Michael Ray Stevenson. From Compton, California, his father is Jamaican and his mother from Vietnam.
He released the mixtape, Young On Probation, in 2007. Four years later, Tyga signed a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment/Cash Money Records and Republic Records (formerly Universal Republic Records).
His major label debut album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King, was released in 2012. It peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and number one on the R&B Hip Hop Albums table.

Careless World: Rise of the Last King had a Jamaican flavour. Producers Matthew ‘Boi-1da’ Samuels and Dwayne ‘Supa Dups’ Chin-Quee worked on the set which included the hit songs Rack City and Faded (featuring Lil Wayne).

Tyga’s previous album is 2015’s The Gold Album 18th Dynasty. He worked with Chris Brown on the collaborative album Fan Of A Fan: The Album.

They also teamed on Deuces, which went number one on the Billboard R&B Hip Hop Songs chart.
